Digital transformation in education, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic, has been phenomenal. As an instructional design approach, blended learning aims to integrate online and in-person learning in a meaningful way. Blended learning models such as rotation, flex, a la carte, flipped, flex etc., offer a great deal of opportunities for 21st century learners and teachers regarding interaction, flexibility, cost and course content access. One of the trending blended learning models in recent years is HyFlex Model which is considered to have great potential for higher education in the new normal. About the term “HyFlex”, "Hy" refers to "hybrid", and "Flex" refers to "Flexibility" in blended learning practices. In a HyFlex course design, learners can choose which mode to participate in from session to session as Beatty (2022) suggested in her useful reference book. In sum, present book covers the concept of HyFlex design with examples from faculty which is considered as timely and comprehensive study for those interested in flex learning-teaching.
