Absorption and emission processes in noncommutative space

Abstract

Atom-field interaction and absorption, emission of photons in noncommutative space are investigated. We calculate the rate and the directional distribution of the radiation. The modified selection rules which govern allowed and forbidden transitions in noncommutative space are derived.
