Proteom ve Proteom Analizleri

Abstract

İnsan genomunun tanımlanması, modem çağın, en önemli dönüm noktalarından biridir. Bununla birlikte, genom analizlerinden elde edilen sonuçların yetersiz kalması nedeniyle, proteinlerde meydana gelen yapısal veya fonksiyonel modifikasyonların, tanımlanması ve araştırılması daha çok önem kazanmıştır. Bu derlemede, moleküler biyoloji, genetik ve biyoteknolojiye yeni bir bakış açısı getiren ‘genom sonrası döneme’ adını veren, proteom ve proteom analizlerinin ana hatlarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Identification of human genome is one of the most important turning points of modem era. Nevertheless, descriptive studies and research on structural and functional modifications of proteins have gained more importance, because, results which were obtained from genomic analysis were not satisfactory in most cases. In this review we aimed to investigate basic terms of proteom and proteome analysis, which have given a new point of view to molecular biology, genetics and biotechnology and its name to ‘post genomic era’.
