Abstract

İnsanlık, tarih boyunca hayatta kalabilmek ve yaşamına anlam kazandırmak için çeşitli araçlar ve tekniklere ihtiyaç duymuştur. Bu ihtiyaç doğrultusunda ortaya çıkarılan teknikler, teknolojiyi ifade etmektedir. Teknoloji, her geçen yüzyıl giderek artan bir hızla gelişmiştir. Öte yandan, bilinçli bir canlı olan insan, hayatı anlamlandırmak için teknikler geliştirip, bu tekniklerle sanat eserleri ortaya koymaktadır. İnsan, görsel sanat eserleri üretirken, yüzey daima eserle bütün olmuştur. Görsel sanat eseri, bir bütün olarak yüzeyden ve dolayısıyla yüzeyin sınırlarından bağımsız düşünülemez. İnsanın görsel algısı, söz konusu yüzeylerin sınırlarını belirlerken etkili olmaktadır. Yüzeyi ve onun sınırlarını belirleyen diğer önemli etken ise teknolojidir. Mevcut olanaklar ve teknikler, görsel eserin yüzeyinin nasıl oluşturulacağını tarih boyunca etkilemiştir. Fotoğrafın icadıyla birlikte görüntünün seri üretiminin mümkün hale gelmesi, hem yüzey sınırlarını hem görsel eserin anlam dünyasını değiştirmiştir. Son yıllarda hızla gelişen fotoğraf ve video teknolojileri ile görüntünün yakalanması ve sosyal ağlarda paylaşılabilir hale gelmesiyle, yüzeyin sınırları daha belirgin şekilde teknoloji tarafından belirlenmeye başlamıştır.

Humanity has required various tools and techniques to survive and give meaning to life throughout history. The techniques created in line with this need express the technology. Technology has evolved at an increasing pace with each passing century. On the other hand, the human being, a conscious creature, develops techniques for give meaning to life and presents works of art with these techniques. While man produces visual artworks, the surface has always been integrated with this artwork. The work of visual art cannot be considered independent of the surface as a whole and therefore the boundaries of the surface. The human visual perception is effective in determining the boundaries of the surfaces in question. Another important factor that determines the surface and its boundaries is technology. Whole bag of tricks and techniques have influenced the way in which the surface of the visual work is created. The fact that mass production of the image became possible with the invention of photography changed both the surface boundaries and the meaning world of the visual work. With the rapidly developing photograph and video technologies in recent years, the way of capturing the image and becoming shareable in social networks, the boundaries of the surface have started to be determined more clearly by the technology..
