İnternet üzerinden herkese açık kurs (İHAK) sağlama deneyimi: AtademiX

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’deki ilk kurumsal İnternet Üzerinden Herkese Açık Kurs (İHAK) uygulaması olan AtademiX’e yönelik deneyimleri sunmaktır. Bu kapsamda AtademiX’in kurumsal işleyişi, verilen kursların yapısı ve AtademiX’e yönelik istatistiki bilgilere yer verilmiştir. AtademiX’te kurslar Atatürk Üniversitesi insan kaynakları desteği ve teknik alt yapısıyla yürütülmektedir. Kurslar, internet üzerinden sunulan materyaller, tartışma forumları, ödevler ve ders sonu projeleriyle aktif katılımı destekleyecek şekilde düzenlenmektedir. Ayrıca kursların önemli bir bölümünü kapsayan canlı dersler sayesinde katılımcılar, ders öğretim elemanı ve dersi alan diğer bireyler ile birebir etkileşim imkanına sahip olmaktadırlar. AtademiX’te halka yönelik, sektörel, akademik ve üst düzey akademik düzeyde olmak üzere toplamda 4 farklı kurs konsepti yer almaktadır. AtademiX’e Mayıs 2016 itibariyle 4.500’ü aşkın katılımcı kayıt yaptırmıştır. Katılımcıların %46’sı lisansüstü seviyesinde öğrenim görmektedir. Elde edilen deneyimler sonucunda, kursların öğretim üyeleri tarafından gönüllülük esasına dayalı olarak yürütülmesinin projenin başarısı ve sürdürülebilirliği konusunda önemli bir strateji olduğu görülmüştür.

The aim of this study is to reveal experiences of AtademiX which is the first institutional massive open online course (MOOC) in Turkey. In this context, the institutional functioning of AtademiX, the structure of the courses and statistical information for AtademiX are presented. The courses in AtademiX are proceed by human resources and infrastructure of Ataturk University. The courses are organized by supporting the active participation with online materials, discussion forums, assignments and final projects. In addition, thanks to the live classroom sessions which are cover important part of the courses, participants have opportunity to interact with instructor and other participations. AtademiX has four different course concepts which are public, industry, academic and academic in specific fields. As of May 2016, more than 4.500 participants registered in AtademiX and %46 of them are graduate level. As a result of gained experiences, providing courses as a volunteer base by faculty members is the one of the most important strategy for the success and sustainability of the project.
