Örgütsel kültürün görünen yüzü olarak sembollerin algılanması: olimpiyat örnekleri üzerine bir araştırma

Abstract

Bu araştırma, örgütsel kültürün görünen yüzü olan sembollere, kültürün nasıl yansıdığının belirlenmesi amacını taşımaktadır. Renk ve sembollerin taşıdığı anlamların olimpiyat sembollerinde kültürel ve sosyal mesaj içermesinden dolayı, araştırma öneri olarak tasarlanan üç farklı olimpiyat sembol üzerinden yapılmıştır. Sembol 1’de, turkuaz rengi gökyüzünü, kartal figürü özgürlüğü, zeytin dalı ilk Yunan Olimpiyatları’nda verilen ödülü, siyah renk ise cesaret ve yiğitlik sembolünü; Sembol 2’de turkuaz rengi gökyüzünü, ok atan adam Türklerde kutlu bir silahı, siyah renk cesaret ve yiğitlik sembolünü, zeytin dalı ilk Yunan olimpiyatlarında verilen ödülü ve sembol 3’de bulunan turkuaz rengi gökyüzünü, kartal figürü özgürlüğü, siyah renk ise cesaret ve yiğitliği temsil etmektedir. Her üç sembolde bulunan olimpiyat halkaları da 5 kıtaya gönderme yapmak için tasarımlar arasında yerini almıştır. Sembol 1’i tercih edenlerin, 2 ve 3’e göre daha fazla olduğu belirlenmiştir. Katılımcıların Sembol 1 açısından cinsiyet değişkenine göre hiçbir ifade de anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamazken, yaş değişkeninde göre ‘Turkuaz rengi gökyüzünü temsilen yer almaktadır.’ ifadesinde anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur.

This research aim to detemine how culturel values is reflected on the oliympic symbols which are the visible face of organizational culture. Because of the meanings of colors and symbols contain culturel and social messages in olympic symbols, so the research has been made on three different symbols designed as suggestions. In Symbol 1, the Turqoise colour represents sky, the eagle figure represents freedom, the alive branch tepsents award in the first Greek Olympics, the black color represents the symbol of courage bravery; in Symbol 2, the Turqoise colour represents sky, the man who shoots an arrow represents a happy weapon in the Turks, the black color represents the symbol of courge and bravery, the alive branch repsents award in the first Greek Olympics, and in Symbol 3, the Turqoise color represents sky, the eagle figüre represents freedom, the black color represents the symbol of courage and bravery. The olympics rings in all three symbols refers to 5 continents. It is determined that those who prefer Symbol 1 are more than 2 and 3. No significiant difference was found among the participants in terms of symbol 1 by gender variable, while there was a significiant difference in the expression of ‘Turqoise color refers to sky’ by age variable.
