Temel tasarımda proje çalışmaları ile ‘hareket ve yön

Abstract

Temel Tasarım dersi, üniversite birinci sınıf öğrencilerine sanatın elemanları ve ilkeleri ile ilgi teorik bilgileri içeren, aynı konularda iki ve üç boyutlu uygulamaların yapıldığı bir derstir. Öğrencilerin, konularla ilgili sanat kavramlarını ve çalışmaları ile birlikte sanatçıları tanımalarına yardımcı olunarak, çevreyi duyarlı biçimde gözlemlemeleri, ayırt etme ve yargılamayı öğrenmelerini, görsel ifade güçlerinin arttırılmasını amaçlar. Ders içerisinde yeni problem ve yeni malzemelerle uğraşarak yaratıcı şekillendirme imkanları yaratılmıştır. Bu çalışma bir araştırma makalesidir. Araştırmada, 2004-2005 eğitim-öğretim yılı üniversitesi birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin temel tasarım dersi kapsamında yapmış oldukları proje çalışmaları ile ilgili anket ve sonuçları yer almaktadır. Araştırmaya toplam 74 öğrenci katılmıştır. Anket 2007- 2008 eğitim-öğretim yılında 68 öğrenciye tekrarlanmıştır. Proje kapsamında, temel sanat ilkelerinden hareket ve yön, elemanlarından form ve biçim konuları, farklı spor dallarından yola çıkarak, farklı malzemelerle illüstratif biçimde tanımlayabilme ve bu çalışmadan üç boyutlu formlar yaratarak ‘hareket ve yön’ün ifadesi sağlanmıştır. Çalışmalar daha sonra bölüm binasının içinde sergilenmiş ve sergi sonunda temel tasarım dersi ve proje ile ilgili anket uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı, farklı tekniklerin bir arada kullanıldığı proje çalışması ve sergileme ile öğrencilerin hareket ve yön kavramlarını öğrenme amaçlı güdülenmelerine katkılarını ölçmektir.

Basic Design course for first year students is a course which includes theorical information about the elements and principles of art and also practical sessions in two and three dimensional levels. This course aims to help students to observe the environment in a sensible way, learn how to differentiate and judge and increase their visual expressivity by means of introducing certain art concepts, art work and artists. During the course they are expected to create forms by using new materials and working on new problems. This study is an research article. The research consists of the answers of the questionnaires done by students of “basic design” course during the academic year 2004-2005. A total of 74 students attended to the research and it has been repeated for the 2007-08 academic year with a total of 68 attendants. Within the Project, the students are expected to express one of the principles of basic design ‘motion and dimention’ and ‘form’ in elements of basic design, starting from different sports, by defining it using different materias and by creating three dimentional forms. Artworks of the students later exhibited at the department buil ding and at the exhibition hall students were asked to fill in the questionnaires provided. The aim of this research, is to teach the students the will to act by their own to reach valuable knowledge by providing them various techniques to work on a project and encourage them to be a part of an exhibition.
