Türk Turizm Sektörünün Ekonomik Etkilerinin Girdi Çıktı Yaklaşımıyla Ölçülmesi

Abstract

Turizm sektörü, son 30 yılda dünya ekonomisinde en hızlı büyüyen sektörlerden birisi olmuştur. Ödemeler dengesi problemlerinin giderilmesinde önemli rol oynaması ve istihdam yaratması nedeniyle ülkelerin ekonomik kalkınmasında kilit bir sektör olarak kabul edilmektedir. Turizm endüstrisinin ülke ekonomisinde ne derece önemli olduğunun belirlenebilmesi için sektör üretiminde gerekli olan girdileri sağlayan endüstrilerin bilinmesi ve sektör üretiminin hangi endüstriler tarafından talep edildiğinin ortaya koyulması önemli olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada TÜİK tarafından hazırlanan 2002 yılı girdi-çıktı tablosu kullanılarak turizm sektörünün bağlantı katsayıları hesaplanmış ve sektöre ait girdi-çıktı ilişkileri incelenmiştir.

Tourism sector is one of the fastest growing sectors in the world economy for the last three decade. It is recognized as a key sector in the country’s economic development by taking an important role in improving the balance of payments and increasing the employment rate. It is important to know which industries provided inputs to the tourism sector for production, and also which industries are demanded the output of the tourism sector. This paper attempts to analyze the linkage coefficients of Turkish tourism sector by using the input-output table (2002) prepared by Turk Stat, and investigates the input output relations for this sector.
