A Project Suggestion for Reconstruction of Internet Cafes: Blue Flag

Abstract

Internet connection of Turkey has brought the phenomenon of Internet cafe. Internet Cafes are public commercial places with Internet connections, in which customers can eat and drink while connecting to the Internet as well. Recent studies in Turkey have shown that in terms of their current function and position, Internet Cafes cause a lot of moral and ethical problems. In this respect, several studies suggested developing projects for improving Internet cafes. Internet has become increasingly important in our society. Internet accelerates the social transformation by effecting social structures and relations, economical outcomes and cultural values. In this study, a project suggestion is exhibited that Internet Cafes, indispensable places for Internet, will become a center of education, cultural activity and dialog.
