The colors alluding to social layers in ece ayhan’s poems

Abstract

Ece Ayhan, who has a unique place in the Second New Poetry, not only deforms the meaning worlds of colors with his multidimensional meaning layers created in poetry, extraordinary language structure and loss of the perception of reality but also brings the readers’ perception to a halt by creating unique associations through colors. In this research, the function of colors which stands out as a poetic element reflecting the perception of society in Ece Ayhan’s poetry is going to be dealt with. As one of the most important elements in Ece Ayhan’s poems, the colors which are used the most, the structural way in which they are represented in texts, the motional values they are associated with and how the poet perceived the life and human by this way are going to be studied. © 2019 Hacettepe University 1.
