dc.description.abstract | Latest developments and improvements brought about on the photographic and image analysis technigues has resulted in making it a more effective tool in the area of fragmentation analysis. Also, empirical formulas which predict mean fragment size or size distributions have continously been improved. However, there is still scant published material of the testing of the accuracy of empirical formulas. A case study is presented where mean fragment size measured from a large-scale blast was compared to those predicted by two better known empirical equations cited in the literature | en_US |
