The antimicrobial susceptibilities of some Gram negative bacteria in Eskisehir
Özet
Antimicrobic susceptibilities of some Gram negative bacteria isolated from various cultures in Anadolu University Faculty of Medicine between June 1991 and May 1992 were tested. Escherichia coli (n = 150-245), Klebsiella (n = 140-225), Proteus (n = 19.28), Salmonella typhimurium (n = 25-38) and Pseudomonas (n = 110-141) were included to the study. A total of 20 antimicrobic agents including penicillins, cephalosporins, aminoglycosides, quinolones and others were investigated. The highest susceptibility rates of Gram negative bacteria to ciprofloxacin, amikasin, ofloxacin were found to be 93%, 89.4%, 87.4% respectively. The bacterial resistance were highest to ampicillin, cephalothine and trimethoprim-sulphamethoxazole in the rates of 79.4%, 78% and 75% respectively.
