Examples for the recent developments in technical yarns [Teknik ipliklerde son yillardaki gelişmelere örnekler]

Abstract

Technical yarns are developed and manufactured to meet the technical functions which are demanded from the product at its end-use. Along with the improvement in new technologies, textile products gain variety. Also new features for yarns are being sought to meet the high performance and qualities, which users hope to receive from them. The technical textiles sector is becoming a global market that grows very rapidly with its dailyincreasing importance. Developments in technical yarns gained a hustle along with the developments in other science fields. In this study, some the recently famous yarns such as reflective yarns, UV protected yarns, metal and antibacterial yarns are introduced. Similarly information on some newly developed yarns such as antistatic, antistress, antiallergic etc. yarns is also given.
