In this study, a new eye tracking system that works by wearing an eye-glasses-like apparatus with attached sensors, is introduced. Due to the working principle of the system, the device is called the Eye Touch system. The sensors are located on the frame of the eye-glasses. In order to avoid interference with the ambient and changing light conditions, IrDA sensors coupled with IR emitters are utilized. Using inexpensive sensors and light sources instead of conventional camera based systems lead to lower system cost and less need for the computation power. A prototype of the proposed system is developed and tested to illustrate its capabilities. Based on the test results obtained, Eye Touch is proved to be a promising human-computer interface systemen_US
