Evaluation of Culturel Codes in Interior Design in Turkey Through Television Series and Changing Housing Perception
Özet
This study contains the third part of the BAP project entitled "Evaluation of Cultural Codes in the Design of Interiors in Turkey through Adapted TV Series", entitled "Changing Housing Perception Through Television Series in Turkey". It has been seen that the fictional spaces used in TV series change the usage habits in the house by affecting the audience, which then affects interior design. Television series has an important role in this change. These TV series, having a big audience, brings together audiences whose socio-cultural and socio-economic structures are different. Fictional spaces in the TV series which are easy to reach and persistent are becoming a model for everyday living spaces of the television audience who identify themselves with the characters in the series. However, it is open to debate whether the television audience's lifestyle and usage habits are in line with the TV series. All these points are emphasized with selected examples within the scope of the study.
