Finans Etiği

Abstract

Özet: Etik insan davranışlarındaki ilişkileri yöneten kural ve standartları içeren felsefi bir disiplindir. Etik; değerler, ahlak ve toplum içinde davranışlara rehberlik eden normlarla ilgilidir. Son yıllara kadar etik değerlere uygun çalışmak yeterli ilgi görmemiştir. Her geçen gün kamuoyu ve işletmeler için etik önemli bir konu haline gelmesine rağmen, çok sayıda işletme kar maksimizasyonu sağlamanın etik prensiplerle çeliştiğini ve aralarında ters orantı olduğunu düşünmektedir. Oysa yapılan çalışmalar göstermiştir ki, etik davranan ve bu bilinçte olan işletmelerin fıııansal yapıları da güçlü olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, fınansal yönetimde ve finansal piyasalarda etik davranışların benimsenmesinin yatırımcıların ve hissedarların lehine bir ortam oluşturduğunun ve etik ile kar maksimizasyonu hedefinin çelişmeyerek aksine birbirini desteklediğinin gösterilmesi amaçlanmaktadır.

Abstract: Ethics is a philosophical discipline including rules and standards for relations governing human behaviors of individuals and groups. Ethics is related to philosophical values, moral and behavioral norms guiding behaviors within the society. Working with ethic values in business was not taken sufficient attention in the past until last years. Even though, ethics has become one of the most important topic for the public opinion and business enterprises, a number of companies claim that ethic principles conflicts with profit maximization and there is a reverse relation (balance) in between them. Recent studies however showed that the business enterprise which are running ethically and are aware of the ethic has stronger structures. In this study, it is aimed to prove that acting ethically in financial management and financial markets provide a positive environment for investors and stakeholders and ethic principles do not form conflict with profit maximization, on the contrary they support each other.
