II. Meşrutiyet dönemi'nde mekteplerde dinî eğitim

Abstract

Bu çalışma, II. Meşrutiyet dönemi düşünce akımlarının etkisi altında, modern mektep- lerdeki dinî eğitimin düzeyi, gerekliliği, sorunları ve çözüm yolları ile ilgili tartışmaları ele almış ve sonuçlarını ortaya koymaya çalışmıştır. II. Meşrutiyet'in ilk yıllarında Batıcı görüşün etkisi ile mekteplerin ilk kademelerine sıkıştırılan dinî eğitim, savaşlarda alınan yenilgilerle eksikliği hissedilen bir yapıya bürünmüştür. Bu noktada düzenlenmesi istenen unsurların başında, ders programlarının yenilenmesi, din dersi öğretmenlerinin yeterliliklerinin arttırıl- ması, ders kitaplarına ait eksikliklerin giderilmesi gibi hususlar gelmektedir.

This study both examines the debates and discussions that arose during the re- form period relative to the levels, requirements, problems, and solutions related to the kinds of religious education being taught in moderns schools, and also tries to reveal the results of these efforts. While religious education had been squeezed into the first stages of education in the early, western-focused years of the Second Constitutionalist period, battleground defeats led to a renewed yearning for such education. At this point, the list of those areas stakeholders desired to change included: a restructuring of the course curricula, an upgrading in the adequacy levels of teachers of religion, and a review and improving of textbooks.
