dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study is to examine Curriculum and Instruction (CI) Postgraduate Program in Turkey based on field experts' views. This study focuses on problems of Curriculum and Instruction Program (CIP) field and opinions on the organization of the programs. The participants of the study, which is based on a case study for the purpose of evaluation, were 50 instructors working in the CIP field in 33 institutions. An expert panel model was used to collect the data. Under the model, the participants shared their views with a moderator and a moderator assistant in five groups. The views were recorded verbally and written by the reporters and analyzed through inductive analysis. The findings of the study revealed the necessity of the development of CIP field, the existence of various problems at the field of training instructors and students, and of developing the programs in terms of level and content. The problems raised in the development of the field were gathered under the themes of quality of the studies, basic terms, expert recognition and cooperation with different institutions. By focusing on the structures of Master's and PhD programs, the views of determining the content of the programs and the provision of standardization rise to prominence within the framework of the organization of the programs. Regarding the structure of the courses in the program, the arrangement of the courses, the course contents and the way of processing them are among the outstanding findings.en_US
