Bilişim Teknolojileri (BT) Öğretmenlerinin Mesleki Sorunları ve Çözüm Önerileri

Abstract

BT öğretmenlerinin yaşadıkları mesleki sorunların tespit edilmesi ve çözüm önerilerinin geliştirilmesinin amaçlandığı araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma 2010-2011 öğretim yılında Eskişehir'deki ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan 10 okul müdürü ve 10 BT öğretmeni ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme ile toplanmış, elde edilen veriler içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda BT öğretmenlerinin mesleki sorunları özlük hakları, görev tanımı, mesleki gelişim, mesleki doyum, yönetsel destek olmak üzere beş tema altında toplanmıştır. Yaşanan sorunlara ilişkin katılımcıların öne çıkan çözüm önerileri; BT öğretmenlerine BT formatörü olarak kadro verilmesi, çalışma saatlerinin ve görev tanımlarının düzenlenmesi, okul müdürlerinin BT öğretmeninin rolleri hakkında bilinçlendirilmesi, BT öğretmenlerinin eğitim teknolojilerini yakından takip etmesi, diğer öğretmenlerin teknoloji kullanımı konusunda yetiştirilmesi şeklindedir. Ayrıca okul müdürleri ve BT öğretmenleri, uygulanmaya başlayan FATİH projesinin BT öğretmenlerinin mesleki sorunlarının çözümünde etkili olacağına inanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda katılımcılar, BT öğretmenlerinin FATİH projesindeki rolünü teknoloji kullanımında öğretmenlere destek olma ve onlara eğitim verme şeklinde değerlendirmektedir

This study was carried out using the qualitative research method, to determine the professional problems experienced by IT teachers and to put forward related solutions. The study was conducted with 10 school directors and 10 IT teachers from elementary schools in the city of Eskisehir in the academic year of 2010-2011. The data were collected with the semi-structured interview method and were analyzed and interpreted via content analysis. As a result of the research process, the professional problems experienced by IT teachers were gathered under five themes such as personal rights, job definition, professional development, professional satisfaction and administrative support. The solutions to the problems suggested by the participants were as follows: appointing IT teachers as IT teacher trainers, determining the working hours and job definitions, raising school directors' awareness of the roles of IT teachers, IT teachers' keeping up with the educational technologies, training other teachers on technology use. Additionally the school directors and the IT teachers believe that FATIH project will be effective in solvingthe professional problems experienced by IT teachers. In this context, the participants considered the role of IT teachers in the FATIH project as providing teachers with support and training regarding technology use
