Synthesis of some 2-aryl-benzoxazole derivatives and investigation of their mutagenicity

Abstract

In this study, eight of 2-aryl-benzoxazole derivatives have been synthesized. The comprehensive studies have not been found about spectral analyses of these compounds in the literature. For this reason, melting points of the compounds have been exactly determined and all spectral analyses completed. Collective reaction mechanisms of the synthesis have been delineated and also given in this study. In the literature studies, there has been found no report about mutagenicity tests of the compounds. In the scope of this research, mutagenicity tests (Ames Test) of these derivatives have been investigated and no significant mutagenicity has been observed.
